​College Advantage Program

Registration Information Fall 2023



St. John’s CAP course registration and payment for qualified students will take place online.  Please note the following important information:
  • The window for registration will be open from now until September 30th.  All interested students must register by September 30th.  No exceptions will be made.  Please notify your teacher once you have registered online. Please save all emails verifying both registration and payment.
  • Payment must be made in full ($325 per course) by October 11th .  If you do not pay by this date, you will be dropped from the course and will not be reinstated.
  • If you decide to drop or change your St. John’s CAP course after you have made payment, you will forfeit payment and the opportunity to earn college credit for that semester. You may not transfer payment from one course to another within the semester or between semesters.

Also, please be aware of the eligibility requirements:
Program Requirements:  (Note:  Sophomores are not eligible to receive college credit for these courses.)
  • Seniors: 
    • 80% average in the five academic subjects (English, mathematics, social studies, languages and science)
    • a combined math and critical reading SAT score of 1000 (or 100 on the PSAT)
    • seniors may enroll in up to three courses or nine credits a semester
  • Juniors: 
    • 85% average in the five academic subjects (English, mathematics, social studies, languages and science) after two (2) years of high school
    • a combined math and critical reading SAT score of 1000 (or 100 on the PSAT)
      • if a junior has not taken the PSATs, he or she must register and sit for the October administration of the exam
    • juniors may enroll in up to three courses or nine credits a semester
  • All students who register for the CAP are required to complete a final exam or special project.  Course instructor will provide further details.
